1.0 out of 5 stars Short-Lived, December 21, 2009

BUYER BEWARE: As promising as this product sounds, ours was short-lived. Moreover, it's difficult for us to imagine how another consumer's experience would be any different. Before you purchase, know this, as of 21 December 2009:
1. Battery Life - according to the manufacturer's own technical support staff (whose contact information was very difficult to find) the user can "NEVER overcharge the battery or allow it to drain completely, else the battery CANNOT BE REVIVED." We used our unit just a few times before it stopped working and we suspect this is the reason. Unfortunately, without a built-in gauge or meter to monitor the charge, it's nearly impossible to comply with those instructions. Eventually, you will overcharge or discharge the battery.
2. 90 Day Warranty - if you feel that you cannot live without this product, then take our advise and get an extended warranty if at all possible.
3. Symptoms - at first, our system wouldn't work unless the power chord was... Read more

This amp works great. Portable, rechargeable. Wish it was more powerful, but considering it's battery powered it's very good.
Only regret it that the iPod dock area does not have a cover to protect it and the iPod from light rains.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great System for the 1st 6 Months, July 8, 2010

Okay, I purchased and for the first 6 months I couldn't be happier. The sound quality and PA system were great. The battery life then suddenly went down to nothing. Then I learned that the warranty is only for 90 days. The other issue is that it has an ipod charger but will not charge the Nano? I contacted the company and they acknowledged the problems but only claimed a 90 day warranty. I've been using the system plugging it into an electrical outlet. After a couple of hours of use the unit will overheat and shut off.
