Combining real-life examples with lots of research data, the authors confirmed what I've known all-along: trust your people, give them the tools and responsibility to do their jobs, and your company will profit from your approach. Every employee from the president to the janitor should read this book. The way Tony and his co-authors present the research, data and the conclusions they draw from this, and the practical advise that they present in these pages is simply amazing. The book identifies 4 core needs and sequences it as sustainability (body), Security (emotions),self expression (mind) and significance (spirit). The book takes the reader through the core principles for each of the needs. It uses the four quadrant method to effectively explain the principles and techniques to manage the needs. There are online tools to check our energy scores and use the techniques in this book to enhance our own productivity. Every chapter ends with Actions Steps, which helps to bridge the gap between theory and... Read more |
